Lots of finished projects
Wow, what a productive couple of weeks. I have finished so many projects that have been lurking around for ages!
First is a sweet little needlecase
Very handy – useful and practical. Another beautiful button from Judith of fuse n beads. I love these cute little hand made buttons. They remind me of sweets.
I have been getting requests from my beginners crochet groups for simple ‘granny’ patterns. I have come up with a couple of bags and purses for them to try. They are very simple, but really effective.
This is simply made with two granny squares and a handle that doubles as a gusset. And of course the obligatory hand made glass button. Not usually the ones I go for, but it exactly matched the yarn!
Here is another bag, which is made of one large square with the corners folded into the middle. A kind of envelope bag. What little girl wouldn’t be really pleased with this matching bag and purse set?
The long awaited granny square blanket is finally ready for showing! I used tapestry wools for the middle of the squares and King Cole Merino for the rest. It is fairly small, but I just wanted a smallish blanket for my lap and it is super warm.
I wanted the warm earthy tones to match my curtain material. Speaking of which, here is another project finished this week – no, not the curtains yet – but a matching draught excluder and door stop.
The colour is a bit funny in these photos because the sun is at a weird angle, but I promise they match the blanket! Hopefully before too long then the curtains will be made too!
I have also got a few other things for show and tell, but that’s all for today!
